The Mad Arab mentions that the 'Gods are forgetful and very far away.' Yet we still should approach them with great repect.

There are many people who enter this system and are not aware of the attitude that is required while going through initiation or the proper way to approach the deities, We must remember that the Necronomicon spirits are not energies that one controls, but the Priest is made aware of during the initiation process. The real meaning to magic is to be connected to the source and to allow that source to shine through you. This is what is meant by using magic to shape what you will. Until this connection occurs. therecan really be no real achievement through the desired spell or workings.
